Taxonomy
Simnia pacaudi was named by Dolin and Ledon (2002). Its type specimen is MNHN-LP R63015, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tuilerie de Gan (Pacaud collection), which is in a Ypresian offshore shelf marl/claystone in the Marnes de Gan Formation of France.
