Taxonomy
Bajarunia magna was named by Zakharov and Smyshlyaeva (2016). Its type specimen is DVGI 13/852, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kamenushka-2 section, sample 960-3a, which is in a Spathian offshore siliciclastic in the Kamenushka Formation of the Russian Federation.
