Rackovskia was named by Vologdin (1940) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda Cm Boto Sepkoski's reference number: 106]. It is not extant. Its type is Rackovskia mongolica.
It was assigned to Khasaktidae by Sayutina (1980); to Zoantharia by Scrutton (1997); and to Stromatoporoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
