Taxonomy
Praerosaria herosae was named by Dolin and Lozouet (2004). Its type specimen is MNHN-IM-2000-3769, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peyrère (=Peyrehorade) marls, which is in a Chattian estuary/bay marl in the Marnes de Saint-Etienne-d’Orthe Formation of France.
