Nanictosaurus kitchingi

Taxonomy
Nanictosaurus kitchingi was named by Broom (1936). Its type specimen is TM 279, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wapadsberg Area (Dicynodon Assemblage Zone), which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Balfour Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Nanictosaurus.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cynosaurus suppostus by Hopson and Kitching (1972).
