Nebrodites (Passendorferia) teresiformis was named by Brochwicz-Lewinski (1973). Its type specimen is GIUW Br 02/040, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zawodzie at Czestochowa, quarry 2, which is in an Oxfordian marine horizon in Poland.
It was recombined as Passendorferia teresiformis by Parent (2006).
