Taxonomy
Crenella globularis was named by Tate (1886) [TYPE LOCALITY: Adelaide bore, Kent Town, South Australia, Australia].

It was recombined as Exosiperna globularis by Darragh (1970); it was recombined as Solamen (Exosiperna) globularis by Darragh and Kendrick (2008).
