Taxonomy
Nautilus seelandi was named by Penecke (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East slope of Sonnberges near Guttaring, which is in a Lutetian carbonate marl in Austria.
It was recombined as Cimomia seelandi by Kummel (1956).
