Lestophis anceps

Taxonomy
Glyptosaurus anceps was named by Marsh (1871). Its type specimen is YPM 520 (vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grizzly Buttes, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Ototriton anceps by Gilmore (1928) and Hay (1930); it was recombined as Lestophis anceps by Gilmore (1938).
