Taxonomy
Aturia angustata grandior was named by Schenck (1931). Its type specimen is LSJU 524, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Aturia grandior by Schneck (1931), Miller (1947) and Miller and Downs (1950).
