Taxonomy
Anglonautilus catarinae was named by Sundberg (1984). Its type specimen is UCLA 48184, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3268, Arroyo Santa Catarina, which is in a Maastrichtian marine siliciclastic in the Rosario Formation of Mexico.
