Taxonomy
Whiteia oishii was named by Yabumoto and Brito (2016). Its type specimen is OFG-MF0164/KMNH VP100,333, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Noe Bihati area, which is in a Norian marine horizon in Indonesia.
