Taxonomy
Perissobune munirulhaqi was named by Missiaen and Gingerich (2014). Its type specimen is GSP-UM 6498, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GH-44, which is in a Ypresian coastal shale in the Ghazij Formation of Pakistan.
