Taxonomy
Potwarmus mahmoodi was named by Lindsay and Flynn (2016). Its type specimen is PMNH 515, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Z122, which is in a Burdigalian/Serravallian terrestrial horizon in the Vihowa Formation of Pakistan.
