Heminautilus tyosiensis

Taxonomy
Platynautilus tyosiensis was named by Yabe and Osaki (1963). Its type specimen is NMNS PI-4200, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tokawa quarry, Tyosi Peninsula, which is in an Aptian marine horizon in the Inubouzaki Formation of Japan.

It was recombined as Heminautilus tyosiensis by Baudouin et al. (2016).
