Pristerodon whaitsi
Taxonomy
Diaelurodon whaitsi was named by Broom (1911). Its type specimen is AMNH 5507, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lemoenfontein, Beaufort West, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa. It is the type species of Diaelurodon.
It was recombined as Pristerodon whaitsi by Toerien (1953) and King (1988).
