Taxonomy
Ceratodus kranzi was named by Frederickson et al. (2016). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cherokee-Sanford Brick Clay Pit (USNM Loc. 41614, 41615), which is in an Aptian wet floodplain claystone/claystone in the Arundel Clay Formation of Maryland.
