Taxonomy
Anomotodon was named by Arambourg (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: K Apti-u T Mi-l Sepkoski's reference number: 884]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Mitsukurinidae by Long (1992) and Biddle (1993); and to Lamniformes by Sepkoski (2002).
