Taxonomy
Cretopilio granulatus was named by Fritsch (1910). It is an impression. Its type locality is Kounic, which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial shale in the Peruc-Korycany Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Cretopilio.
