Taxonomy
Asianeomys fahlbuschi was named by Wu et al. (2006). Its type specimen is IVPP V 14455.1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IVPP Loc. 99005, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Suosuoquan Formation of China.
