Pristerodon mirus
Taxonomy
Eumantellia mirus was named by Broom (1935). Its type specimen is TM 248, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leeukloof, which is in a Wuchiapingian crevasse splay sandstone/claystone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Eumantellia.
It was recombined as Pristerodon mirus by King and Rubidge (1993).
