Taxonomy
Didymoceras hidakense was named by Shigeta (2016). Its type specimen is HMG-1660, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 11, Urakawa, which is in a Campanian marine mudstone in the Chinomigawa Formation of Japan.
