Taxonomy
Echinolichas coccymelum was named by Campbell (1977). Its type specimen is OU 4962a-c, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Edriocrinus-Pygmaeocrinus Association, Bois d'Arc, which is in a Pridoli/Lochkovian deep subtidal ramp wackestone/wackestone in Oklahoma.
It was recombined as Oinochoe coccymelum by Thomas and Holloway (1988).
