Sarkastodon mongoliensis
Taxonomy
Sarkastodon mongoliensis was named by Granger (1938). Its type specimen is AMNH 26641, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 25 miles southwest of Iren Dabasu, which is in an Irdinmanhan terrestrial horizon in the Irdin Manha Formation of China. It is the type species of Sarkastodon.
