Jimpohlia was named by Zangerl (1979) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 451]. It is not extant. Its type is Jimpohlia erinacea.
It was assigned to Subterbranchialia by Zangerl (1979); to Bradyodontida by Zangerl (1981); and to Holocephali by Sepkoski (2002).
