Taxonomy
Vulpavoides vanvaleni was named by Russell and Godinot (1988). Its type specimen is Bchs 656, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bouxwiller, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial marl in France.
