Taxonomy
Kutchithyris hendersoni was named by Marwick (1953). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 1119, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS 3143, Totara Peninsula (R15/f8027), which is in an Oxfordian marine sandstone in New Zealand.
