Taxonomy
Zeilleria opuatiaensis was named by MacFarlan (2016). Its type specimen is AU B454, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AU 7446, Opuatia Cliff (R13/f6613), which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in New Zealand.
