Taxonomy
Hysteraster paragrapsimus was named by McNamara (1992). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Broken Cliffs, which is in a Miocene/Miocene marine limestone in the Morgan Limestone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Hysteraster.
