Taxonomy
Dixella intacta was named by Greenwalt and Moulton (2016). Its type specimen is USNM 546204, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Deep Ford site, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn), which is in a Lutetian lacustrine - large shale in the Kishenehn Formation of Montana.
