Koilops herma
Taxonomy
Koilops herma was named by Clack et al. (2016) [Referred to in Smithson et al., 2012, as ‘probable new taxon’.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMS G. 2013.39/14, a skull (Isolated skull mainly as a natural mould). Its type locality is Willie’s Hole Bed 2 (amphibian bed), which is in a Tournaisian terrestrial horizon in the Ballagan Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Koilops.
