Taxonomy
Lyelliceras escragnollensis was named by Kennedy (2011). Its type specimen is BMNH 73722b, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Escragnolles (Var) (Upper Greensand), which is in an Albian marine sandstone in France.
