Taxonomy
Motyris pseudoaralica was named by Eames (1952). Its type specimen is BMNH G.68510, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Domanda, Dera Ismail Khan District, which is in an Eocene marine horizon in Pakistan.
