Turritella granulosa was named by Deshayes (1832) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Oligocene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Turritella (Haustator) asperula by Moisecu (1972) and Harzhauser (2004); it was recombined as Haustator granulosa by Islamoglu et al. (2011).
