Taxonomy
Clithon (Pictoneritina) barbei was named by Symonds and Pacaud (2010). Its type specimen is NHM PI TG 26448 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pourcy (Symonds collection), which is in a Ypresian estuary/bay sandstone in the Sables de Pourcy Formation of France.
