Aeduella was named by Westoll (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeoniscus blainvillei.
It was assigned to Aeduellidae by Romer (1945) and Štamberg (2002); and to Palaeonisciformes by Sepkoski (2002).
