Bulbasaurus phylloxyron
Taxonomy
Bulbasaurus phylloxyron was named by Kammerer and Smith (2017). Its type specimen is SAM-PK-K11235, a partial skull (missing the left subtemporal bar and both postorbital bars), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Driekoppe, Vredelus, Fraserburg, which is in a Wuchiapingian floodplain siltstone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Bulbasaurus.
