Allerisma terminalis was named by Hall (1852) [Hall in Stansbury 1852]. It is a 3D body fossil.
It was corrected as Allerisma terminale by Morningstar (1922); it was recombined as Allorisma terminale by Chronic (1952) and Burk (1954); it was recombined as Wilkingia terminale by Hoare (1961), Kues (1991) and Kues (1995); it was recombined as Wilkingia terminalis by Anelli et al. (2009).
