Taxonomy
Diaprepes anticus was named by Franz and Zhang (2017). Its type specimen is USNM 505325, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (USNM Brodzinsky Lopez-Pena coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
