Taxonomy
Indonautilus innocens was named by Pérez-Valera et al. (2017). Its type specimen is UCM CL-2/48 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Calasparra section CL-2, 15 level, which is in a Fassanian carbonate limestone in the Cehegin Formation of Spain.
