Taxonomy
Acisarcuatus locellatus was named by Zhang et al. (2017). Its type specimen is CNU-TRI-NN2014011PC, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2014 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
