Pterotermopsis fouldenica
Taxonomy
Pterotermopsis fouldenica was named by Engel and Kaulfuss (2016). Its type specimen is OU 44989, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Foulden maar (I43/f8503), which is in an Aquitanian crater lake diatomite in the Foulden Hills Diatomite Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Pterotermopsis.
