Taxonomy
Hormotoma salteri canadensis was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Hormotoma salteri var. canadensis Ulrich in Ulrich & Scofield 1897]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Hormotoma canadensis by Foerste (1923); it was recombined as Cyrtostropha salteri canadensis by Wagner (2017).
