Taxonomy
Climacograptus latus was named by Elles and Wood (1906). Its type specimen is SM A19680 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Amplexograptus latus by Chen et al. (2005); it was recombined as Anticostia lata by Saparin and Ismail (2023).
