Taxonomy
Hexagonaria reedi was named by Schroeder and Leleshus (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rabatakbaytal, Chakiryul Suite, 75m, which is in a Givetian shallow subtidal limestone/dolomite in the Chakiryul Formation of Tajikistan.
