Taxonomy
Climacograptus innotatus nevadensis was named by Carter (1972). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Normalograptus tubuliferus nevadensis by VandenBerg and Cooper (1992); it was recombined as Climacograptus nevadensis by Goldman et al. (1995) and Goldman and Bergström (1997).
