Pterotheca intermedia
Taxonomy
Pterotheca intermedia was named by Shrock and Raasch (1937) [= Pterotheca attenuata Shrock and Malott, Jour. Geol., 41, 1933: 355.]. Its type specimen is UW 513, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is McCray Quarry (= Kentland Quarry), Division 4, 3 miles east of Kentland, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the McGregor Formation of Indiana.
