Taxonomy
Myxomygale minor was named by Ziegler (1990). Its type specimen is SMNS 44154 A1, a tooth (M1 sin.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulm-Westtangente, which is in a MN 2 terrestrial marl in Germany. It is the type species of Percymygale.
It was recombined as Percymygale minor by Hugueney and Maridet (2017).
