Ermoceras (Kosmermoceras) magnificum was named by Arkell (1952). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 38, Dhruma area (Aramco S-1162), which is in a Bajocian carbonate limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia.
