Thambites planus

Taxonomy
Thambites planus was named by Arkell (1952). Its type specimen is SM F10761, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 6, Juraifa area (Aramco S-1501), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia. It is the type species of Thambites.
